Tim Tobey has been with the Knights of Valour for the past 11 years. He has been interested in the medieval era since he was a boy. During the past 11 years he has won an impressive array of medals, ribbons, and titles and travelled to many different towns and competed in various states. View Tim's Photo Gallery

He has obtained his jousting quest by unhorsing his teacher and team leader Shane Adams. Tim is the only jouster known for this impressive title. He is a dedicated member of the team and could be considered Head or Senior knight as he has been with the team the longest along with his team mate Rob. Tim is a self-taught armourer and has made most of the suits that clothe his fellow knights. He continues his jousting career as he has up and coming knights in the house of Tobey. The most recent, his son, Sir Lawrence of Essex, being newly knighted last year. All his accomplishments would not have been possible without the love and support of his wife and kids and his beautiful white Percheron Monty. |

Sir Lawrence of Essex Aaron Tobey started squiring in 2002, caring for the horses and knights and providing the much needed ground crew to make the knights look good. In his spare time he learned to ride and competed in games against his brothers as well as sword fighting with them. In 2005 Aaron placed 1st in the games at the Dragon’s Lair Tournament. In 2009 Aaron got his first chance to joust at a tournament in California where he was unhorsed by his father Sir Timothy. Undeterred, Aaron continued training and was knighted as one of the Knights of Valour in 2010. In the start of the 2011 season Aaron had his first unhorsing. He continues to hone his skills in efforts to obtain the ultimate unhorsing’s, his father Sir Timothy and Sir Shanton. |

Daniel Tobey Dan is another up and coming knight in the house of Tobey. He has been a part of the Knights of Valour since 2000. He started as a squire for his father Sir Timothy and has worked his way up to a knight in training. Dan has competed in several competitions and won various ribbons and titles. He is very artistic and is also a semi self-taught armourer. He has made many pieces of armour for fellow knights including his brother Sir Lawrence, and does an awesome job. Dan has also performed sword fights with his brother during school shows and participated in games of skill. He will soon be starting to make his own suit of armour in anticipation of starting his jousting career and competing alongside his father and brother. Look out Aaron. |
