Shane Adams, team captain, raised in Acton, Ontario was introduced to horses as a young boy when he started riding and showing Arabians with his family all the while dreaming of being a Knight fighting along side such legends as Ivanhoe and Sir Lancelot. He's held onto these dreams and after working with various jousting and medieval shows, Shane created his own in the Knights of Valour. This CanAm team now boasts some of the top competitors in the current sport of Full Contact Jousting. View Shane's Photo Gallery

During competitions and shows, Shane rides his black Percheron gelding "Paladin", and though his heart will always belong to his former friend and steed "Dragon", he carries on in this proud war horses name to compete as fiercely as possible.Aside from Paladin, he also enjoys the challenge of getting to know different jousting mounts. This versatility makes him a fearsome competitor in the joust lists during competition. |

As a role model to countless children around the world and especially his daughters Desirée, Paige, and Stori, Shane passes on his motto in life:
"Hold fast to your dreams, for if dreams fade, the earth would be nothing but an endless maze." |
